Regenerative tourism: take part in mangrove reforestation and learn about their role as habitat and carbon capture.
Enjoy an unforgettable experience of approximately 2 hours cruising the calm waters of Laguna de Términos, one of Mexico's most important ecosystems. Along the way you'll have the chance to observe bottlenose dolphins in their natural habitat, as well as a wide variety of seabirds that find shelter in this protected natural area. The experience includes a stop at Isla Carenero or Isla Las Comadres, where you can step off the boat to take in the beautiful scenery, walk along the beach, relax in the sun, and admire the clear waters this region is known for. Our tours are led by accredited local guides committed to conserving the flora and fauna of Isla Aguada, providing a safe, educational, and high-quality experience for the whole family.
Enjoy a unique experience in close contact with nature on an approximately two-hour kayak tour, accompanied throughout by a trained guide who will take you to discover some of the most iconic landscapes of Laguna de Términos. The journey begins among the mangroves, paddling along a natural creek where you'll spot a variety of birds and crabs that inhabit this important ecosystem. Along the way, our guides offer environmental interpretation, sharing insights about the region's flora, fauna, and ecological significance. Leaving the creek behind, we continue paddling to Isla de los Pájaros (Bird Island), a site of remarkable biological richness. Thanks to the kayak's quiet approach and maneuverability, you can get closer to the observation areas, allowing for a more detailed look at the resident and migratory birds that find shelter in this natural sanctuary.
We invite you to be part of a unique regenerative tourism experience, taking an active role in conserving one of the most important ecosystems of Laguna de Términos. Accompanied by local guides and specialists, you'll learn about the ecological importance of mangroves — their role as a refuge and nursery for numerous marine species, their part in protecting coastlines, and their capacity for carbon capture.
Your four-legged companion can join you on any of our tours — all they need is a collar and leash. And if you'd rather ride worry-free, we'll look after your pet during the tour at no extra cost.
You'll be visiting a Protected Natural Area: every year between 4,000 and 6,000 tons of sunscreen end up in the sea. Help us take care of it.
